Queensland Queensland sunny Queensland

Howdy,

How are you? good i hope,

Sorry for the lack of posts i haven't been able to get to a decent computer in a while so there are loads of photos i've just posted of our exploits since we left Sydney.

So here we go, left Sydney about a month or so ago, which was great because we weren't really doing anything just sitting about watching tv in our rubbish appartment, the highlight of which has to be Deal or no deal its brilliant. After getting Casio finally fixed the distributor was knackered we headed up the coast to meet the rest of the gang in a place called Fingal Bay north of Newcastle, then over the course of the next week we travelled up the coast camping in national parks and the like headed toward Byron Bay. Unfortunately the weather was being rubbish again and camping in the pouring rain was not the best fun i've ever had. We went for a trip to nimbin which is the hemp capital of australia, thought it might be a prety cool town full of hippies and laid back characters but it wasn't, more like dealers and freaks, the asian guy who ran the campsite we stayed at took it upon himself to beat the most friendly dog i've ever met with a pole, Dave called the RSPCA but they were less than helpful.

After that we decided to head straight for queensland and the Gold Coast and literally as we went over the state line the weather cleared up and it was beautiful sunshine! We stayed for about 2 weeks on the Gold Coast in a place called miami then Surfers paradise and got passes to Wet n' wild, Warner Bros Movie World and Sea world the theme parks were great fun and the Superman ride was amazing i put up a phot of it, might have to go back some day.

After that we went to Brisbane which as a city goes is lovely place, nice place to live not so much touristy stuff to do though, the night life was really good though we went out on a saturday night and the place was heaving, the hostel we stayed in was a bit weird everyday the same guys would come every day up and ask if you'd just moved in and if you wanted any drugs, "no mate spoke to you yesterday, remember and still no thanks"

So as it stands we are staying in a cabin in Noosa on the Sunshine coast, the bad weather has caught up with us once again we only got one nice day but it didn't really dampen our spirits we nailed Australia Zoo on friday "Crikey" and still messed about in the sea even though it was raining, your going to get wet anyway so what harm does a litle rain do. Tomorrow we head for bundaberg, Neil has set us up with accomodation and a job fruit picking as i am officailly skint! Neil says that the work is prety good start at about 7 finish by 2 in the afternoon the back for a kickabout at the hostel and the money is prety good, after that up the coast for the great barrier reef and hopefully will have enough money to get my licence and go for a few dives.

Oh yeah Dave got our flights changed so we leave from Melbourne on the 16th of October and we get an 8 week layover in Singapore, so we can see Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia and hopefully Vietnam which would all be cool i can't wait and we get back to Heathrow at 5:30am on the 16th of December i think so i'll be sneaking back up the UK to the place i call home about then so we can maybe get all the boys together and have a nice wee reunion, torridon clear your schedule i expect to hear you dulcet tones as i return and get the banter over the past year stories stories stories.

Anyways better get back to the cabin for a wee swim in the heated pool oh yeah heated pool and rain great fun.

Cheers, leave a comment or fire us an e-mail which i will try my hardest to get back to

Lots of love

Col Boy
