Bondi Rescue

So I'll just say it, I had to get saved by a lifeguard the other day. I was swimming where i wasn't meant to be and got caught in a pretty strong rip and i couldn't get back in. But thankfully there was a lifeguard there who came out with his raft thing and i hopped on.

Anyway I'm over it and was straight back in the water with my new surfboard that I aquired!!

Let me start from where i left off, about 3 weeks ago myself Dave and Iain left Melbourne for the great ocean road, we traveled down that for a few days, very beautiful, then made it back to St. Kilda in time to watch the Champions Leauge final with the irish boys.

The next day we started on the road to Sydney and we drove for about 10 hours along the coast then cut up and made it to Canberra that evening. Canberra was a pretty nice place but seemed just a little boring and strange. We went to look at the Australian parliament the next morning and got parked right under the building and there was only a metal detector and a couple of guys on the way in as security. It was just a bit surreal being allowed to wander around the houses of parliament with hardly any security present.

Anyway after we had seen the sights in Canberra we made it to Sydney that afternoon and met up with Neil & Katie in Bondi, we were pretty lucky in that we got a flat right down the hall from them in the same building by the beach.

We went sight seeing in the city and all the photos have been uploaded of the bridge etc. And we went to bar called -5 degrees where everything is made out of ice even the glasses which was cool fun.

Me Iain and Dave decided to get surfboards so we all splashed out up in a place called Manly and we've spent the last week trying to get up on them and not wipe out every time.

In fact we're going up to manly this afternoon for some surfing banter.

At the moment we're just looking for jobs and we've been living the quiet life playing cards most nights trying not to spend too much money.

News of a sadder note, Iain has decided that with his money situation, he has almost none, that he's going to go up and meet macleod up near cairns and come home at the same time as him, good on him if he's running out of money he should see as much as he can and until then we'll be surfing the shit out of every wave.

So as it stands myself Dave, neil and katie are looking for jobs to keep us going and so that when Tony arrives in 2 weeks we'll have some much needed spending cash so that we can have a good time and watch the world cup. Oh yeah Tony is arriving in 2 weeks! After that I think me and dave are going to continue up the coast and theres talk of possibly New Zealand or Fiji at some point but I'll need some more cash before then.

Love to all

Hope you enjoy the pics even though most of them are of the same stuff as the other blogs
